A delicious and decadent recipe for gourmet chocolate truffles made with fine baking chocolate, luscious cream and a dusting with cocoa powder. Secret ingredient: Maldon salt!

Cocoa Dusted Chocolate Truffles Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 11 oz. bittersweet baking chocolate 70% cacao, chopped
  • ¼ tsp. Maldon salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. almond extract
  • 8 tbsp. cocoa powder

Directions
  1. Put the cream in a pan over a medium heat until it is hot but not boiling, and add the butter and the almond extract.
  2. Once the butter has melted, pour over the chopped chocolate, mixing slowly. Add the salt to the mixture; ( this makes chocolate taste better), and when it is melted and smooth, pour it into a dish or bowl.
  3. Let it cool down and then put it in the fridge for about 3 hours to set.
